Carolyn Carter's career in advertising spanned 35 years culminating in her position as CEO of Grey Group Europe, Middle East & Africa from 2000-2010. Grey is a top ten communications network that represents more than one fifth of the Fortune 500 companies and became part of WPP, the world's largest communications company in 2005. During her tenure as CEO, EMEA was the company's largest region including more than 50 countries and 2000 employees. Carolyn drove a profit turnaround, installed a new generation of management, expanded operations in developing markets - Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and expanded the network's creative and digital capabilities. Grey EMEA was named Agency Network of the Year for communications effectiveness for a record four consecutive years by the EACA. Carolyn served domestically on the industry's self-regulatory body, the National Advertising Review Board, and was a regular speaker at international conferences. Carolyn retired from Grey in 2010, relocated from London to New York and currently provides business advice to clients, agencies and media companies. Carolyn serves as the President of the Women’s Forum of New York, is a member of the IWF Board of Directors and Co-Chair of its Presidents’ Council.
