Steven Odland

Founded in 1942, the Committee for Economic Development of the Conference Board (CED) is a non-profit, non-partisan, business-led, public policy organization that delivers well researched analysis and reasoned solutions to our nation's most critical issues.  Mr. Odland's business background in consumer and retail sectors includes Chairman/CEO of Office Depot, AutoZone, and Tops Markets, and key executive positions with Sara Lee Bakery and Quaker Oats. He served as Adjunct Professor in business graduate schools at Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University.  Mr. Odland is on the BoD of General Mills and Trustee of the Conference Board. Mr. Odland's public policy background includes the Business Roundtable and Chairman of their Corporate Governance Task Force; the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission; Council on Service and Civic Participation; Committee on Capital Markets Regulation; Advisory Council of the Institute for Corporate Ethics; the Business Council; Florida Committee of 100; Chairman of Memphis Tomorrow; and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. Steve Odland has a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Notre Dame, and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
