The 2022 Virtual Annual Meeting

It was wonderful to welcome so many of our members to the 2022 Annual Meeting – thank you to everyone who joined us! We would like to give a special thank you to Former Women’s Forum Board President, Joan Haffenreffer, for her outstanding leadership over the past two years, and to all of the outgoing Officers and Directors for their devoted service. We would also like to thank our new Forum Board President, Pamela J. Craig, and Forum member Dr. Laura Forese, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, NewYork-Presbyterian for participating in our featured conversation. Letting Each Other Know...

Cheryl McKissack Daniel, President & CEO, McKissack & McKissack, will be speaking at the 2022 A.G. Gaston Conference which is set to take place on Tuesday, February 22 and Wednesday, February 23 at the Medical Forum located in Downtown Birmingham. The A.G. Gaston Conference works to improve the state of African American businesses by addressing leading-edge economic trends and challenges. Participants in the Conference have worked intentionally over the years to promote economic empowerment and remain committed to remembering the life and legacy of Dr. A.G. Gaston.

Gloria Feldt, Founder & President, Take The Lead Leadership Parity Movement, has had several book events since launching her book Intentioning: Sex, Power, Pandemics, and How Women Will Take the Lead for (Everyone’s) Good on September 28, 2021, and had a whirlwind of interviews and article features, such as a review by Sheila Weller in Next Avenue. Gloria has also written several articles that made the rounds on Yahoo News, Austin American-Statesman, and elsewhere, challenging female leaders to take the lead in public on women’s civil rights to reproductive self-determination.

Laura Clayton McDonnell, Senior Vice President, ServiceNow, Sales – East, Canada, and Latin America, has been appointed to the corporate board of Zuora the leading cloud-base subscription management platform provider. “My philosophy is that staying curious about my customers is the key to driving their success,” said Laura, “so I share in Zuora’s passion for understanding and exceeding its customers’ needs. I look forward to joining the Zuora Board of Directors as the company continues to help enterprise customers uncover new ways of doing business that result in stronger customer relationships.”

Stephanie Mehta, former Editor-in-Chief, Fast Company, was named CEO of Mansueto Ventures, the parent of Fast Company and Inc., and the newly created position of Chief Content Officer. Mehta has served as Editor-in-Chief of Fast Company since March 2018. She was previously a deputy editor at Vanity Fair, and held senior leadership roles at Bloomberg Media and Fortune.

“I’m excited to work with the entire team to help steer the company and our two storied editorial brands, Inc., and Fast Company, in this fast-changing media landscape,” said Mehta in a statement.

Sheila A. Stamps, Former Senior Investment Advisor, Comptroller of the State of New York for the NYS Common Retirement Fund,  joined the IQVIA Board of Directors. Stamps currently serves on the boards of three public companies, including Pitney Bowes, Inc, a leading provider of global shipping & mailing solutions, where she has been a member of the Audit and Compensation committees since 2020; Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc., a global provider of aircraft and aviation services, since 2018 where she serves as Chair of the Audit and Finance committee; and MFA Financial, Inc, a residential mortgage REIT, where she is a member of the Compensation and Nominating & Governance committees.

Marcy Syms, Former Chairman & CEO, SYMS Corporation, was a part of the Advanced Leadership Initiative at Harvard University class of 2022. The Advanced Leadership Initiative (ALI) is an innovative academic program designed to unleash the potential of experienced leaders to help solve society’s most pressing challenges. As a university-wide initiative, ALI draws upon the expertise of all of Harvard’s professional schools and academic departments.

ALI Fellows come to Harvard and embark on a year-long immersion in inter-disciplinary academic learning, leadership development, and peer-to-peer collaboration to develop a social impact strategy focused on their issue of choice. Participants in the ALI program become part of a vibrant community of changemakers who continue learning, collaborating, and innovating for impact.

Jennifer Warren, former CEO Issuer Services, North America, Computershare, has joined M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust as EVP, Institutional Client Services. “Adding Jennifer to our leadership team will greatly enhance our ability to provide our clients with the many financial services they deserve,” said Rene Jones, Chairman and CEO of M&T Bank. “I’m further pleased that we are adding another very qualified member to our leadership ranks as we look to provide more skill-set depth and diversity to our senior bench.”
