About the Education Fund

The Education Fund of the Women's Forum provides annual Awards to encourage mature women of need to fulfill their potential through the pursuit of an undergraduate college education and to enhance their capacities to provide productive and supportive service to their communities.

The Award recognizes extraordinary and often heroic effort in overcoming adversity and the most daunting of odds in restructuring lives for success. Since 1987 the recipients of these Awards have provided inspiration to those who have come to know and admire their determination. Virtually all have successfully earned college degrees; many have gone on to Masters degrees, particularly in the fields of education and social work The Education Fund also holds symposiums, which are open to the public on important social and economic topics of the day.

Recent panels have explored issues surrounding both domestic violence and violence against women internationally. Each program has raised consciousness in discussing this global challenge and encouraging dialogue about ways to change its negative course.

The Forum is no longer accepting applications for The Women's Forum 2010 Education Awards. The 2011 Application will be posted September 1, 2010.

Imagine the possibilities when women dream and an avenue is opened for them to succeed. Your support can make a difference.
